We believe that we were created to worship God and praise Him for all that He has done in our lives (1 Corinthians 10:31). As Christians, we live our lives in worship to Him. Singing songs of praise is part of that worship. (Colossians 3:16 -- Ephesians 5:19 -- Psalm 95:1-2 -- Psalm 147:1 -- Psalm 150:1-6 + over 400 other mentions of singing in the Bible.)
The Music We Choose...
The music we play on a Tuesday night has been chosen carefully. Before a song is added to our rotation, we check to ensure:
the lyrics align with God's Word,
the song can be sung by the average person,
and we consider the genre*.
* Christian music has been written in many different genres. Many of these are great for believers to listen to and we encourage you to find Biblically accurate music in a genre you enjoy. At TNL, however, we have chosen to focus mainly on contemporary and traditional worship music.

8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:8-11
